Hey Everyone,
Well another good week. We had Sis Dories's baptism Saturday it was so good! I presided over it because no member from the branch presidency showed up. Sis Dories got up and bore her testimony after and wow it was so good. She just kept thanking my companion and I for loving her enough to help her find the right path and all this stuff it was so good! Then this returned missionary from our branch named Stanford got up and bore his testimony and he had tears in his eyes which was weird because its not like him at all but he started talking and talked about how he was baptized in this same chapel 5 yrs ago and how the same opening song was sung at his baptism and he was talking about how much he has been blessed since that time and how now he has had the opportunity of serving a mission in Nigeria wow it was really really good. We have another baptism scheduled for 2 weeks but most of those people have stopped coming to church so it will likely be postponed. So the other day in companion ship study my companion and i were talking and we were talking about how sick we are of rice! haha we eat rice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We both have been having stomach problems for like 2 weeks so we decided that on p-day (today) we would go to the supermarket in town and try to buy some stuff that we can cook in the apartment other then rice. we ran into one member from Congo cross branch which is in town and got talking to her. my companion served in that branch so he knew her really well and she told us she would help us go to the market. So today she met us half way at eastern police and helped us get transport to lumley which is on the complete other side of freetown and we went to a few of the biggest supermarkets and guess what i found!!! ROOT BEER!! ya totally bought it and im going to drink it tonight! then when we were in the last supermarket that member (Sis Jalloh) said You elders are probably really hungry. and her house is across the street so she went across the street and started cooking for us and then we went there when we were done shopping and she fed us. It was so cool! she is way nice! We also ran into elder and sister Neves at one of the supermarkets and i looked in the back of there truck and there is a package in there for me! sweet! so i will get that tomorrow. And then they also gave me some letters. then on our way back to the East we were inside a poda... I guess i have to explain what that is.. a poda is a van that they take the seats out and they weld like 5 rows of these little squooshed together benches and they cram people inside and its like a taxi. so we were in a poda and we were going down this way small one way road in the middle of town and this taxi pulled out and we ran right into the side of it.. it was so crazy. the drivers got out and were yelling at each other for like 10 minutes then got back in there cars and just drove off so that was pretty interesting. Then we came straight to the cafe to email. So it has been a really eventful day. So about auntie Lovetta we have kind of had a set back. She went back to her church this Sunday and there was some pretty big wig female preacher person at the church and she was chastising all of the pastors for keeping all of the members tithing money to themselves and all this stuff. So now Lovetta is feeling pretty good about her church again but we are still working with her she is so cool. We picked up this way cool family in a part of our area called Alan town. We received the wife as a referral from the zone leaders then we contacted her and she introduced us to her husband and her whole family they are really cool. they said the missionaries were coming to them before and helped them with some problems they were having in there marriage but that the missionaries just stopped coming so i don't what happened but we are going to continue with them they are really nice! Oh ya about Halloween. Last night we dressed up with the costumes that elder lambsons mom sent in a package and then we played Halloween bingo with candle light ( the candle light was actually because we really didn't have electricity but it turned out to be cool!! ha ha). So it was way fun we replaced that with the District study that we usually do on Sunday evenings. Well... That's all i can think of that i have to say... oh ya zone conference is on Wednesday also so I'm looking forward to that. I love you all thank you for all that you do. Keep us Africans in your prayers :)
Love Elder Lancaster

Wow, another good letter. I love that you call yourself an African. How can the people help but love you. Keep (or get) well.
