Working With The Less Active Members

Hello Everyone,

Well this week was pretty good. Its starting to not rain so much so that has been nice. I received my new companion this week (Elder Tims) from Snow Flake Arizona. He is way good we have a lot of fun together. We have been going around with the elders quorum president and different members of the church and visiting the less active members. We have hundreds of them in our branch. Our branch is big enough to split and be 2 branches but most of the people in one area are less active so we are trying to reactivate them and so eventually it can split. Its a lot of going around and listening to peoples problems of who offend them at church or how they don't have money to pay for transportation to come to church or whatever else. Most of the people are less active because someone in there family got sick and no one came to visit them and so they got offended. So we have been letting them know how much we love them. We try to share something with them that will help them to feel the spirit and remember why they were baptized. Its very draining. The days we go and visit Less Actives im always so drained after. Our teaching pool is pretty small right now so we have set some goals to try and get some more investigators and build up the area. My companion is a contacting machine he just goes up and starts talking to anyone its way sweet I admire him for that. He also had a good idea of going to the branch president and asking him to do something like maybe have someone give a talk or something about missionary work and talking to there friends about the church and giving us more referrals. I really think its something that not only would build the teaching pool but it would build the members as well. But the work is going really well! Being a senior companion is really hard you feel a lot more responsibility but its good. Sounds like this transfer is going to be pretty dull. I dont think we are even having a zone conference or anything so thats pretty strange. But thank you for all the prayers and love and support I can really feel it. keep praying for the rain to stop haha.
