Strengthening The Foundation

Well it has been really rainy lately! You cant believe the amount of water the falls when it starts raining it is insane but cool. I actually get a little cold which is weird. Sister Squires brought us some nice rain coats so that will be nice. Our apartment is new so we didnt have any. So yesterday we decided to drop into Dauda and Esther on our way to church they are the ones who have been investigating the church for over a year and i just baptized esther last week. but dauda told us he needs some time to prepare himself. well when we walked up dauda was sitting there smoking... uh.. so disapointing i didnt even know he had a problem with that. I went back and read the area book from the first time when they taught him the wow and sure enough it says it right there! geez so im frustrated about that i dont know what to do. i dont know weather to go there and just hit the nail on the head or what.. we will see. So lately my companion and I have been going to primary and helping the primary president because she doesnt really know what she is doing because she never went to primary. So my companion and i go and do a little mini sharing time. its way fun the kids are tight. we through this bean bag to them that sister squires gave to us and they love it. We have also been finding out the kids ages turns out that there were some 12 and 13 year olds in there so we took them and introduced them to the youngmens and youngwomens presidnet and said look we have new people for you haha. so next we will be going into youngmens and youngwomens and sorting them out because most of the people in there are like 20 so we will be moving them up. One of the focuses of the mission right now is prospective elders. so all the "active" youngmen that are 18 and above that are not elders yet. So we will be going to them and teaching them about the oath and covenant of the p.hood and get them excited about recieving the m.priesthood. then we will start on the less actives and ya anyways its going to be good. As you can see in this mission we work alot with members and stuff because there is no sense in baptising investigators when there isnt a strong support system so we have to build up and strengthen the foundation first. Anyways only about 2 weeks left of the transfer if i dont get transfered i will be very very surprised! I dont know where i will go. I have had some really cool experiences lately with hearing some war stories. The war hear was freaking crazy! There is one way drunk man in our area and turns out he was one of those child soldiers that was taken by the rebels and all this stuff. pretty crazy. Well thats about it here thanks for all the love and support!

You certainly do get a variety of experiences. Sounds like you are doing a great job and helping where help is greatly needed. Keep up the good work. I'm sure the Lord is very pleased with the good you are doing.
