This week has been good. It has been really cloudy and even sprinkled a little. They say that it does this right before it gets really hot. They said that the hottest month here is march... yay something to look forward to. But this week has been nice because it hasn't been so hot. So Steven and Williams were baptized on Saturday. It went really well! Williams is about 77 yrs old. And he was so excited that day! We went and picked him up because he didn't know where the chapel in Njagboima is because that's the only chapel with a font in bo. So we picked him up and he was all ready and was really excited it was awesome! We had one of the branch missionaries in our branch do the baptizing and he is really short. He had a hard time doing it. He had to redo stevens about 6 time and he had to redo Williams about 10 times. lol. It was good though they didnt care they were just happy to receive there baptism. We found out who the new mission President is. His name is President Roggia or something like that. He is from Texas. He is a retired military man. It will be really hard to see the Squires go but im trying to look forward with excitement. My eyes have been really opened this week to how great this work is here in Sierra Leone. The church has not been here for long and its not really strong. All the members in our branch are converts. It is quite an experience to have to teach the people how church is to be ran on Sunday. And have to teach the priesthood how to bless and pass the sacrament and how to give blessings and everything. lol sometimes the sacrament meetings can be pretty apostate. We have to remind the choir constantly that the hymns are to be sung in reverence and there is a certain way they are to be sung. They still have this crazy shake for Jesus mentality. But I can see that the church is growing. I cant wait until one day the kids that are in primary now will be the leaders of the church I can see the church will just be getting stronger and stronger here. In my farewell talk I mentioned how from what I hear the people of Sierra Leone are humbled from the war and are ready to receive the gospel. I have seen that to be true. At the same time I have seen how Satan has also taken that opportunity to put his foot in the door. He has targeted that youth and has put money money money into there minds. The youth here are rough there is a lot of sinning going on. You see young young girls with babies. But we as missionaries are able to take those opportunities to teach the girls about the plan of salvation and relate it to there little baby and spark an interest in them and see the holy ghost touch there heart. I really hope that one day In my lifetime I will see a Stake made in Sierra Leone. I hope to see stakes and wards here one day. I know that everyday we are getting closer and closer to that. The day that happens man i will be so excited!! Maybe I will even live to see a temple here! Holy cow that would be so exciting! Well not really any crazy stories. I love it here! I experience things everyday that I never thought I would experience in my life. Thank you all for the support!
