Good Week

Well.. the week was good! It was full of learning the area and meeting the investigators and trying to get organized. So this returned missionary from the Ghana cape coast mission introduced this thing to my companion and I. It is called the commitment pattern. He has been practicing it with us and helping us perfect it in our teaching it is way cool! Basically from the first visit it helps the people to begin making promises with god right there straight!! no matter how small or big the promise but this basically helps you see who is really going to be serious or not by about the 2 or 3 visit. its seriously so cool! So we have been putting that into our teaching this whole week and trying to perfect it. Then last night my companion and I presented it to the district at district study and did a little demonstration and they all were freaking out and were like that's so cool!! We are going to show it to the zone leaders and see what they think. so.. that was exciting. So we have a baptism coming up this Saturday. Her name is Jemba she is pretty cool. We asked her who she wanted to baptize her we said it could be any of us or anyone in the branch and so she said she would think about it. Then yesterday at church she decided that she wanted me to be the one to baptize her i was like WHAT! haha but it will be cool. Its going to be in a river out in the middle of no where so it should be way cool I'm excited its my first time. I really hope i don't drop her or something. i made my companion practice with me last night. And word on the street is the mission president is going to be there so that ads a little pressure haha. We have zone conference on Friday so that should be way cool. But ya other than that not really much new here just still on the work doing my best. Im really learning alot in this area its difficult but like president Squires would say "We do the hard things". Oh you want to hear another hard thing i have to do?.. I was asking sis. Roggia how i could start to gain some weight because my clothes look huge on me now. and so she talked to some doctor guy that is over west Africa and he said i need to start eating every 2 hrs... hmm... so in between appointments i have to eat crackers or peanuts or bread or what ever i can find. Rough life huh? Oh this morning i was reading in the August Liahona Its so good! If any of you aren't getting it then you need to repent and renew your subscription i love the Liahona! Anyways on pg. 39 there is a story called I am proud of you. You all have to read it because it explains me at the beginning of my mission and how hard it is to wash your clothes at first. Now I'm an expert though haha. Anyways that's it for now. Sorry to all who have written and haven't gotten a response.... keep waiting haha jk... I am going to set a goal to start writing people back so now as you write me i will put you on the list so that means if you want a reply your just going to have to write again so i have your address haha! thanks for all the support I can really feel it!
