Elder Lancaster

Hello Everyone!

Well we got transfer news this week. I'm going to Grafton haha which means I'm still in the same apartment I'm just switching rooms. Still jr. comp. Grafton is out in the bush i have to take a taxi just to get there.. its going to be interesting but I'm excited. There are going to be 2 greenies in the apartment both Americans i think both from Utah elder Nielson and elder Lambson or something like that i dk should be fun. So I now have a mom in America and I have a mom in Africa. I have talked about aunti christiana who has a restaurant and she feeds us all the time well when i got sick then she got all worried about me and was making me really good food. And now every time i come in she tells people that i am her baby boy haha she is so cool. So then she tells me that i know have a mom in America and a mom in Africa and i need to tell my American mom that she is taking very good care of me. she had to travel to the village this week actually its a really funny story it will kind of show you how crazy the culture can be here. so christiana received a call saying that her father had passed away. and her father is a Muslim and the Muslims as soon as you die they bury you straight! like within a few hours so christiana said wait i want to see his body so don't bury him until i get there. So she leaves and goes there and he gets there and her dad was not dead! they said they had wrapped him up and were ready to bury him and he started moving! i guess he was just in a coma! so if christiana had not told them to wait they would have buried him alive hahahaha so crazy!! anyways so then the day she gets back i didn't know she was back and i was walking past the restaurant and i hear this BABY BOY!! i look over and she is running at me like she wants to give me a hug so i had to just stick my hand out and she said oh ya and shook my hand haha she is so crazy. then she said I'm making you breakfast in the morning so come here straight so i was like ok. so we go there the next morning for breakfast and she brings my companion a plate of potato leaf and a packaged water and said your an African this is what you get haha so then she said baby boy wait I'm bringing yours so I'm like ok. Then she brings out this really nice cup with hot water in it and she makes me this really good hot chocolate and then she brings out this way good omolete and she cut my bread for me and put butter on it hahah all the other elders were like you gotta be kidding me while they were sitting there eating there rice haha it was so sweet I'm giong there right after i finish this email i wonder what she will make me today! Anyways a little about the work. Its really cool because my new companion elder chickwendu is the district leader so i will still get to come back to wellington 1 on exchanges and i walk right through my last area to get to my old area so i will still see all my investigators and everything so its pretty cool. Peter still didn't come to church. I tried calling him the whole week and he was ignoring my calls I hope the next elders can help him. We have been teaching this prostitute and she actually has been repenting and progressing really well but yesterday at church she was telling us how tired she was because she didn't get home until early that morning i was like hmm... that's not a good sign haha. anyways that's this week it was sweet the work is good i love it! thanks for all you do!
